"WONDER" when used as a noun refers to a feeling. It is a feeling of surprise mingled with admiration caused by something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable.
My church has been going through a series on "Wonder" this Christmas. At the mere mention of the word I am all in. Perhaps it is my forever love and appreciation of all things of beauty, whether that be in the physical or at a soul level. I am forever in awe at the magnitude and glory of the world around us. The complexity, mystery, and divine fingerprint that I see everywhere stirs in me a deep appreciation for this life. My faith in Jesus fills my soul with purpose, meaning, and hope for all mankind. And never, of course, does my heart feel it more strongly than at Christmas.
So join me for a walk in my hometown along an infamous trail leading toward what CNN rated the number 12 surf spot in the world, Trestles. Most people are so focused on getting to the surf that they lose sight of the stunning nature on this beautiful walk. Friends, no matter where this Christmas has you, I pray that God would grant you His perspective. To see the world through a different lense, to be able to behold a moment and take in the miracle that is occurring all around you, even right now. Breathe deep and be available to experience the wonder! Don't let it miss you this Christmas.
Keeping things casually festive in this darling fringe topper from Anthropologie. Destroyed denim, studded heels, and a pink lip pull me together for a look filled with winter wonder. Don't miss the lace details at the seam of this piece. See below :)
