Crop top! Eek, the word makes most of us want to run with fear or curl up in a ball and rock ourselves to sleep. But it is time to face this elitist trend and make it work for the non supermodels among us. The trick in embracing this silhouette is to simply layer it. Place a fitted camisole or tank under it for a more boxy style or add a top with a longer hemline underneath, as I did here, to add some unexpected volume to the look . The crop is also great when paired with a high waisted skirt, jean, or short. The high waist keeps all skin covered but still allows you to rock this look. After styling a few outfits this way I realized that I have been won over to the ways of the dreaded crop top. The layering allows me to play with different patterns, colors, and textures and makes a typical OOTD (outfit of the day, for you newbies) much more interesting and chic. Plus it is a clever way to hide a very full tummy! I dare you to try it this week and please let me know how it went! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope have a great week!
