A New Year. A new adventure.
I started 2015 right on the valley floor of Yosemite. Watching the moon rise over half dome, hot drink in hand, while lounging on the patio at the Ahwahnee Hotel was a moment I will keep with me forever. I did not adventure alone. My family was joined by three other young families and all of us were awe struck by the magnificence of our surroundings. Our group discussed the importance of adventuring and taking hold of all this life has to offer. How a full life is not one of busyness but of risk. Discovering, sacrifice, and serving. To lay hold of true life it is fundamental to offer the best of ourselves to God each day. A tall order, no doubt but what better feeling is there than to crawl into bed each night knowing that you gave the day your best.
Exploring in midwinter requires warm layers. I love this cocoon coat from J.Crew. The heavy wool, heathered camel color and tailored fit make it a perfect everyday-everywhere choice. Year after year this classic holds its value and style. A cozy knit sweater from brand favorite, Equipment and Rag and Bone denim keep me prepped for fun. I have worn these Aldo booties so much that their distressing is now just getting good. Sadly, this pair is no longer available but I found nearly a perfect duplicate. Link below!
I hope this New Year finds you eager to lay hold of the life before you. Thanks again for journeying with me on my discovery Of Beauty & Grace.
