Back with a bang! I'm referring to my hair of course. These fringe benefits are another way the 70's are hitting pop culture. I was ready for a change but not willing to lop off my tresses into a lob (longer bob hair style), even though I find it incredibly cute. I'm simply not willing to part with my ponytail. That's the bottom line. It's part of my easy momma styling arsenal for early morning drop offs. I also bore easily and need to be able to have the option to put it in a bun, twist, or braid. So what to do...what to do? Jump on the long bang bandwagon, of course. I don't have the ideal face for bangs, and I still wince in horror in memory of my experimental bang stages growing up. So. Many. Ugly. Hair. Moments. Fortunately, style is always evolving!
I found a helpful article from Today Style about how to ask your stylist to get the coolest 2015 cuts. Here goes:
In reference to the new Boho Bang...."They are extremely youthful and scream fashion. Don’t be afraid to try it! Like I always say, ‘Bangs instead of botox!’ Stars who know how to wear these beautifully boho bangs: Nicole Richie, Olivia Wilde and German model Julia Stegner. - celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson for Today Style.
How to ask for it: This year’s fringe is a bit long and sexy, gracing the eyebrows. Make sure that your stylist doesn’t cut your bangs too short."
I wore my bangs in a boho rocker way for this look. Basic ballerina top from Anthro and shorts by Joie, both now on sale. My everyday rag and bone booties and favorite new bucket bag from See by Chloe add the right touches of leather.
Still thinking about making the cut? See celebrity photos and read more about it here.
