White, tan, and mustard have been on heavy rotation lately. Something about this combo feels so fresh. Mustard was a color that reigned supreme during my youth. It was the color of my first big wheel, my dads old beat up Ford truck, affectionately known as "the beast," and my favorite pair of lace-up leather boots. It’s no wonder I have a warm nostalgic leaning towards this hue. I guess I feel the need to justify this color choice since my daughter decisively pointed out a few moments ago that the belt (scarf) “looks like throw up.” Nice, huh? All from the mind and mouth of a 5 year…pardon, she will have you know she’s 5 and a half.
Hopefully your reaction didn’t mirror Isla’s :) I was simply wanting to share how adding a pop of color with a scarf, whether around your neck, waist, or hair, adds a pulled together summer look that should be embraced by all. Even five and a half your olds can rock this look…with a pink “belt” of course.
